The Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group is a unique global university network of Health Sciences staff and students that includes members from 20 universities worldwide, and a collaborative group of Universitas 21.
We provide Health Sciences Faculty of member universities a framework for exploring opportunities for:
▶ collaborative research
▶ information exchange
▶ and sharing of resources.
Our group includes the discipline areas of: Dentistry, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, Pharmacy, Public Health and Biomedical Sciences.
As a collaborative network, we work together on numerous interdisciplinary projects and activities for both staff and students of relevance to the Health Sciences with a focus on global health issues.

2025 Annual Meeting: Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University!
The 2025 Annual Meeting will be held from 25 - 29 August in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Thank you to the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University. The theme will be: “Aging Across the Lifespan”

2025 Summer School: hosted by Faculty of Medicine, PUC Chile!
The U21 Health Sciences Group 2025 Summer School will be hosted by the Faculty of Medicine at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile on the theme, "Advancing Mental Health in Aging Populations.” The dates are 14 - 25 July.

2024 U21 HSG Funding Opportunities closed!
Application deadline: Friday 21 June 2024
The three funding opportunities are:
- International Projects Fund
- Research Development Fund
- Student Research Fund
2024 Teaching Excellence Award: closed!
This award targets faculty / instructors with 5 to 10 years of teaching experience. It celebrates and rewards exceptional educational scholarship across the U21 HSG network.
Two recipients will receive funding to attend the U21 HSG 2025 Annual Meeting where they will facilitate a joint workshop.
2024 Doctoral Student Forum - applications closed
The U21 HSG 2024 Doctoral Student Forum is hosted on 26 August 2024 in conjunction with the U21 HSG 2024 Annual Meeting.
Doctoral students from member institutions are invited to submit an abstract to present their work. Submissions relevant to the theme of “Data Driven Health Care and Teaching” will be prioritised. Deadline: 25 March 2024.

2024 Annual Meeting at Amsterdam University Medical Centre was held!
Thank you to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Amsterdam for hosting a successful 2024 Annual Meeting. It was great to see members from our partner institutions and hope it was fruitful to all.

Thanks to colleagues at Fudan University who organised a fantastic 12-day summer school at their School of Public Health on the theme, “Path to Manage Non-Communicable Diseases with Global Health Perspectives”
U21 UNSDG Student Workshop at the University of Nottingham - HELD!
The U21 UNSDG Student Workshop was from 14-15 June at the University of Nottingham with the theme, “Data Driven Healthcare & Sustainability”. Students from all U21 HSG universities are invited to join.
