Overview
The Global Learning Partnership (GLP) is a unique global programme that aims to bring together staff and students from various academic institutions across the globe to learn about and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The GLP runs in partnership with Kathmandu University School of Medical Science (KUSMS).
Students who participate in a GLP program will learn about UN SDG’s, health promotion practices, leadership, building community capacity and advocacy. The program will be delivered online and include a mix of face-to-face (via zoom) teaching, individual online learning modules, group work and mentoring from experts across the globe!
As part of the GLP students have the opportunity to be part of an inter-professional and international student group collaboration to develop and implement health promotion initiatives and resources that addresses identified needs of the local community, hospital or health centres of Dhulikhel, Nepal.
Summary
Date - 18th July - 13th August 2021
Global Engagement - students have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the SDGs, work as part of an interprofessional team, build ongoing, interactive relationships across the globe, and contribute to the exchange of knowledge, ideas and research.
Format – Entirely online (mixed methods of content delivery and activities - including individual online learning modules, face-to-face (via zoom) teaching and mentoring, independent group work).
Participants – up to 40 (20 U21 HSG/ 20 Host)
Cost - $400 USD

Who can apply
Currently enrolled in Bachelor or Master degree at a U21 HSG member university.
All Allied Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Optometry, Nutrition, Exercise Science and Population/Public Health
Completed at least 1 year of study.
