What does it include?

Students who participate in a GLP have the unique opportunity to learn and contribute to the SDGs, work as part of an interdisciplinary team and build ongoing, interactive relationships across the globe. Students are selected from a variety of health disciplines to work in collaboration with our partner university to serve communities in Nepal and exchange knowledge, ideas and research.

The program will run from 3rd – 30th March 2019 and will include:

o   One week of university-based learning at KUSMS in Dhulikhel, Nepal

o   Three weeks of community-based work at the DhungaKharka Health Center, an outreach health centre of Dhulikhel Hospital 

o    Participation from approximately 20 students: 8 from KUSMS and 12 from U21 Health Sciences Group member institutions.

Cost: $1800 USD per person. This includes all food, ground transportation, accommodation and learning materials.

NOTE: Airfares, travel insurance and required vaccinations. are not included in the cost and will need to be arranged separately.

Up to 12 students will be accepted and selections will be made by December 15th 2018.
